the computer desk has been caving in in the center of it's two parts for years.   it wasn't pleasant,  but not unpleasant enough to take it all down and apart for to do anything about.  But some things for me ARE a catalyst.  In this case,  the new

printer.    w h i t e  which would be very uncomfortable for me up there where the other printers have been.  The old HP that died was grey.  The new crummy Epson was a beautyfull Black.  This,  the cheapest of the HP line only comes in

so i said, c'mon, grace,  get over it but it arrived today and it was SO

see it?  peeking out in all its whiteness…there beyond the chair cushion on the lower shelf?  That shelf previously had cobwebs dust maps and the phone book.   Everything came OFF the desk and i brought in some different 2x4s and re-propped and straightened, aligned….a few screws and TaDa.   Took a deep breath and ran the download for the set up and all went as it was supposed to and i have just fine enough prints of stuff.  Finally.  The crummy Epson will go on Freecycle with the statement that i hate it,  that it uses enormous amounts of ink but that it is virtually brand new.  Recycler beware.

There were quick Electrical Storms,  GRAND ones,  off and on,  sharing the day with brilliant Sun Light.

I print much of my stuff in draft mode to save ink, but I swear the stuff evaporates, too. I miss my trusty old HP 932, which only needed ink once a year.
    Love the apricot …

the only thing i use it for is to print pics to use to send stuff
to the kids, sometimes to others that i write to…so, pics of
how it is here when i’m writing to them.
sometimes i use a print to try something out for a Cloth, but
    not much.
and then prints of Cloths that i no longer have. This is
    important to me.

so much dust and whatever falls out of the ceilings and walls here that keep the printers covered in cloth except when they are in use, white is a disaster here, the keys on the keyboard are always grubby, haven’t had fresh apricots from the tree since I lived in Adelaide in 1976 (perfect climate for stone fruit with no fruit fly)

Don’t need to look at? We’ll just pretend I’m not looking at 3:30in the morning of Sunday the 15th of May. The waking moment when I’m so grateful for the computer since there’s folks like you out there to drop in on. Good for you with your new set up. I ditched my Epson back into it’s box (a gift from a friend) years ago when it gliched one too many times and ran out of ink I couldn’t afford to replace, and it still sits there in the box room (which is my ‘fibber Mcgee’ closet for those who recall the old radio show. It’s my someday I’ll tackle this and cart it all away….but, oh those three flights of stairs and all the rules about when and how one can dispose of things in the City. Well, someday. Meanwhile I can revel in the beauty of your apricot wanting in.

once again, no fruit, only every so many years. But someone’s
tree in town always does and there is always some being given
    away.
this dust here, such a strange kind of dust, so “sticky”
again, like those pics of histamines, with little prongs
…how i imagine it magnified, there’s just TONS of it
coming through all the cracks in this house. Most of the time
i just don’t think about it, but then when i do, it feels
useless and overwhelming and so i don’t think about it or
think….it’s just dust, so what. But then like yesterday
i want to take all the books off the shelves and dust each one
    individually which would take days
I have talked to people who have moved from this place for no
    other reason than the Dust….
    Polvadera…in spanish…nothing but dust
