the two stem stumps and just o so barely partial leaves…. Enough to photosynthesize!!! and are now growing NEW LEAVES!!!!!

plants are amazing, I nursed a tiny 2″rose cutting after the first leaves were damaged for 3 months until it made a new growing point where leaves could form, nearly 20 years later that tiny cutting is a beautiful rambler in one of our wilder gardens
