i just double clicked on “maybe SandRock” and i cannot say how much i
LOVE this Toad…its quiet presence in this world that i find myself in.
Its quiet presence on a Planet. Its quiet presence as a Being, one among many, taking its Place. I just love this…so much, i just LOVE this

    we have marvelous toads too.
    i found a huge one,
then rescued one half his size.
    they’re really golden this year
last year they were a ruddy brown.
but maybe that’s the difference of back yard
    verses the front.
there was some thing under the rose bush
gus was enthralled with i’ll have to go looking
    tomorrow if its not raining.
I’ve found tree frogs there before.

The toad! Cannot imagine seeing a toad near me. Thanks for bringing a bit of the country life to a city dweller.

    I didn’t find a frog.
Gus was fixated on a nest
it was empty after the last storm
but it was a beautiful little nest
maybe the wrens will try again?
