i pray. i don't have a god to pray to. but i Pray, nonetheless. I pray to the vast humanity that i am a part of that i am the same as. I pray that somehow the things in Aleppo can STOP.

I am exhausted by war at a distance, by all this destruction, not just Syria, but all over the globe. I wish I could pray. I light candles sometimes and meditate.

i don’t know what to call it beside praying…it’s a CALLING OUT, it’s a begging, in it’s way…Out, into the darkness of this night here, where it is so peacefull, on my road, a calling out to Please, can’t we find a way to just STOP IT

i call it wishing and i make stars.
i am going outside to stack wood all day, all the while pretending i might build peace one stick at a time.LikeLike

I go to the garden; pull weeds, prune, plant things. That’s all I really know how to do.

With every small thing I do, I just try to imagine/wish/pray that it will somehow grow. That the part of us that I hope is connected will eventually feel it and it will spill over in peace. And so much waste . . . my son and granddaughter and I were fantasizing about what might happen if just for a year no-one was capable wasting anything at all: time, each other, food, resources of any kind. What if we were to take more that we really need of ANYthing. Would that lead down a pathway to Peace?

yes…how things have become so expendible…even
human life. i like this thought…just what we
need
but it takes exchange, conversation about these things
to allow visions to rise up about need…to evaluate it
in our own lives…need. What is Need? and what is
just stuff that really, has no meaning.
Thank you for these thoughts…i appreciate them deeplyLikeLike

The 23rd was a day full of needed prayer. Young man walked into a mall, north of Seattle. Killed 5 people. Why? No one knows yet, though they did finally find and arrest him.
