i always feel kind of lacking or something when i read the words Body of Work.  I have no Body of Work.  But just now,  going through

back to this.  Will leave them UP like this for a few days and feel them, look at them,  see what they have in common,  beside the Desert of them all,  except for the blue one over to the right that i made when i first found Jude…just guessing,  trying to figure out how she did what she does.

the desert of them…i wonder how the cloths will change when i live on the Hill of moss and oak?

love how you honour the spirits of place but where’s the Diaries Cloth? that’s a major piece!& re the body of work, as Kiki Smith said, the good thing about being an artist is “the work has to go away!” and so much of yours has!

thinking of how i have pieces of your work on several walls..thinking of how many of them are out in far away places…imagining a longish figure.a body of work embracing the length and breadth of the world..

I have a few pieces, and you sure DO have a body of work. I love the gourds, ‘specially the butterfly one.

yes….the Diaries Cloth. It’s in one of the wooden toy boxes.
They are next for consideration. It WILL go into this
bin with the body of work cloths.

Grace, your Body of Work: cloth, dolls, gourds, speak volumes of your talent and magic. The doll brought tears to my eyes when i realized what she was holding. I have a box of those seed pods on my kitchen table that my mother collected in her yard in NM. She has been gone over 12 years, and my sister is downsizing and found the box just last week. Isn’t it wonderful to downsize and find treasures!!

Grace…it is pure delight to see your “body of work” gathered together those pieces still with you and calling out to the pieces resting wonderfully well around the globe. Your doll is, as all others I have seen in photos and books, spectacular, and the gourd so wonderful…but the journey with cloth and stitch you have taken since first stitches with Jude is pure delight for me to see. So many stories have called out to be stitched and they tell of a journey, strong, resilient and beautifully manifested on the land of New Mexico. What delights lie ahead as you bring your energy to the land of moss and oak…oh the stories that will call out to me stitched, expressed. A Delightful moving on and letting go story..thank you for letting me join in the following and sharing.
