this morning…so BeautyFull,  so bright, so warm  and as it goes sometimes….i went to the window,  as if being called,  and looked at the line of scraps and there, on the line among them,  a bird.  I first thought it was the tanager back,  but it was so brilliantly colored…i think an oriole?  ….flaming orange red….as i grabbed the camera and carefully opened the door…it flashed up.  The branch,  at 11 oclock?

incredible among the  cloth scraps.

Off to get the spare tire for the horsetrailer put on the rim Travis found.  Then a whole new mechanism for the toilet flushing thing…was hissing,  seeping water.  Home.  Thinking to just go with stuff that needs to be done,  but WIND had come from over the Rim and was GUSTING HARD,  that wall rattling Hard and so i just went Out.  Sat in a Janet Chair and closed my eyes.  Scanned all my

"systems"

how just so tired.  

Nap.  and thinking ….now.  now i'll get something done.  But ended up going back to the Janet Chair and back to sitting, eyes closed.   Tomorrow i'll begin again.  Today i rested.

    Thank goodness for resting. Really, the push has been so hard and steady, the need to let go just took over. Thank goodness for rest.

    yes. so hard. so steady. of Necessity. and will return
    again tomorrow.

    Getting all that paper work in order earned you a rest … not to mention all your love and conceal for your goats… that alone is draining. Or is it energising… I’m not sure?

    it’s draining. for me, yes. Things need to happen FIRST
    before it might be energizing. But the Things that need to
    happen first are not Easy. The actual transport will be
    confusing to them. Hard for them. They will manage.
    The getting there will bring them into ALL NEW….that they
    will both LOVE and be CONFUSED by. But they are Goats and
    Goats Rule. that old thing of 3 Days. 3 Days of Not Knowing
    and then, they will begin to incorporate it all in.
    i think a lot about the people who are immigrating, families,
    Mothers with children, just setting out not knowing but going.
    Arriving somewhere and figuring it out. or not. How this
    mirrors it in such a small way, really, but mirrors it. We
    NEED to go. It’s time. We always knew we would and now it’s
    happening and i am yes, afraid. But also know there’s no
    turning back. it’s time and it will soon be history. We will all be there and the Sun will rise and there will be food and water and Living to do.

    Love your beautiful Bullock’s oriole. They’ve been back here in my yard for almost two weeks now, just after the hummingbirds arrived. I put orange halves out for them. We’re expecting snow tonight into tomorrow! Been following your impending changes, but glad you are still able to just sit and take some time…

    yes…the oriole….like an old fashioned ornament on the
    cloth line….
    it was such a good thing, to rest. Intermittent rain
    possible today so…need to take advantage of the spaces
    inbetween.
