i have a sliver of wood stuck under the nail of my left index finger.  a sliver.  it throbs.

i poked my left  eye into a tip of a salt cedar branch yesterday.  it feels like i have cinders in my eye.

my left hand is still doing something i don't know why.  Maybe from trying to pry that gas cap out?

but aside from all those left things,  there were some right.

Nogal had gotten out by pushing his way through a weak part of the fencing where it connects to the back wooden privacy fencing.  I am imagining that since i was just not coming to bring feed,  he felt he needed to take matters into his own hands.  There is a lot of Kochia there, next to the fence and i imagine again that he just was pushing first his mouth and then his head through to get at that and when it "gave",  he thought why not?   I patched it with a piece of cattle panel and a lot of baling wire to weave it in.   He has had no interest in it,  so i'm hoping it might seem like a dream to him and i will learn my lesson about talking too long on the phone.  So ok.  We go.

This Cloth.  I am so into this Cloth.   It is pointing out to me that i am no longer feeling any need to add things or Not add things according to any  "rules"   It simply is what it is.   And  i am loving the freedom of using Colors that i never would have,  even not that long ago.   as in,  Earth is not necessarily brown.  The ground here is from Deb Lacativa,  a damask,  old.  thin.  almost a pearly quality to it.  It's perfect for the story this Cloth is telling.   It allows the story this Cloth is telling to be almost some kind of Song,  no words,  just sounds.  And it's interesting to me that the Glennis moon that could go no where else,  is so right,  here.  In the There.

So this Cloth is a song.  I like that.  I like that i was able to understand that.  it makes me feel really, really, really Good.

A journal journey to the moon and back Grace.
And a wee story for you. When I was little I had a Great Aunt Grace. Her entire property was garden: the front and sides all flowers, vegetables out back, and down under a tree she had beehives. We’d drive out to her place in Rangiora and get a huge tin of honey that was placed on the floor of the car. It always had a lovely sugary top on it which vanished on the way home. Auntie Grace’s place may have been embellished in my childhood memory but I choose to remember it as I do . . . it’s not negotiable and I still love honey.

I love that you sing your songs to us Grace. And I can hum along a little and it helps me find my own song.
About your finger. I have fellow feeling having just had a poisoned finger. Do take care. Soaking in hot water and Bicarbonate of Soda – I think you call that Baking Soda can help to draw the splinter out.

Last week I took my time checking on the ducks mid day. I realized they were way too quiet and when I got out there found they had pushed their way into a garden patch I have loosely fenced off. They were quite happily trampling everything in there for a second time! And in the mornings I have to get out there by 8 or they squawk their heads off…just saying I can relate.
I’m sure you have remedies…but if it were me I’d put coconut oil in the eye…and maybe salt water, too. If you have cedar oil in there the coconut will cut it. For the finger…salt water soak! Should take out the sting. Used salt water on a couple kittens recently…works like magic!❤️

Love this cloth, I would get your eye checked, I damaged my retina on a twig, still gives me trouble when I am tired. You might need some ointment.

beings being way too quiet…you can know something’s up
for the eye…i get, as often as i can, sneaky, from the Vet,
that little tube of Bacitracin Opthalmic ointment
Used to be able to get it at the feed store, but no more.
But when i’m interacting with a Vet about something else, i
always ask for some … tell a story sometimes, about need
like right now, i might say it’s for those kittens under the house…
it comes up now and then…an eye thing…for me, when i
drop feed for the Goats over gates and there is Wind…stuff
    gets in an eye
am going to look into coconut oil
all this INFO about what works is GREAT…THANK YOU!
