What it takes. This. It's BIG., like really. Like really Big. But it will grade off the long road that is the "drive way". Smooth the way, that thing on the back is a box grader, heavy, and flattens. So, this second year here, after winter rain, it works to smoothe the ruts and gaps, but also pulled up one of the French Drains…eeeee, but that can be corrected, for now, all is flat and passable. WHICH MEANS …..maybe….maybe this next week the Hut for Campsite B. can be delivered. Where i will live. Maybe. Gravel still needs to be delivered. Many truck fulls. Then moved/spread. But it is possible.

It takes a heavy machine to make what was wild into what will be useable.

yes. it’s not what any of us wanted. But a cause and
effect thing. To be here, unless we really “camp”
we needed to do it. The truck guys who bring things
like my little place won’t come on an ify road. There
had been the hope to build it and originally, i wanted
a place built out of pallets…but time goes by and
there isn’t enough time to build all the places…from
scratch…so we compromise. it’s a little heartbreaking
tho.LikeLike

yeah…it’s just a shell and just i think 12×20. One

My husband bought one for his workshop. the trailer it came on was amazing. a computerized thing my carpenters stood and watched with open mouths. It (the computer) turned the wheels 360 degrees to adjust and back up/up and down/left and right etc. The Trailer with the shed not the truck hauling it. Must have cost quite a bit of money. so they take no chances. and our driveway and site were not any straight shot. We needed gravel and self leveling sand. pounded down. In order for the computer to turn the wheels and go up and down–the roadway and site need to be flat and solid. The driver worked it all on a handheld thing with buttons and a toggle while standing on the driveway.

In the beginning, this whole new life was really scary for me… watching you. Now that I see that big heavy truck, it begins to look more real. Truck, good roadway, new shelter for Grace. It evolves. I am praying for you.

i think they are the same building. It’s a national
company. and yes…you describe their equipment perfectly according to Alyssia who was here when the driver came to
check out the situation here. It is exactly as you describe here. That was when he left explicit requirements for
changing the road, taking down a tree, preparing the
site. If they come and it’s not right they just leave and you can pay them to come a second time. We think we’re
ready.LikeLike

yes…a side room. But for now, this is it.

your words are very interesting to me because of thoughts
i have been entertaining lately, how i have always
“just Gone”….how i have always had some idea or another,
and just gone with it, somehow “assuming” things that
really, might not have been so wise t assume????or not…
but you just go. And you get somewhere. and Things
happen. Years of things happen.
the “good roadway”…necessary for the delivery of my
buiding. Necessary for bringing in the required
utilities, whatever they end up being…a propane tank
for instance. Necessary for when daughter begins construction of her place here at the top of this Hill,
which WILL be built from scratch.
Alyssia and i in particular, though, long for that old
road that was really only tracks through the forest, all
inundated with plant people of so many kinds. But you
can’t have it both ways. We chose.
Thank you for your words here…they have meaning for meLikeLike

Can you send them a lot of pictures of the improvements before they make the trip??

they think it’s OK. They think they have done all
required. Depends on how it goes when it happens.
when the truck is HERE.LikeLike

You need that road now for all the building stuff but dont worry…….plant people will come back in time, wenn left alone……..
I find it exiting how your new place is slowly growing…LikeLike
