there ARE….rattlesnakes, large spiders,  centipedes in water tubs.  There ARE.  But also,  there are finches and quail and butterflies.  Damsel flies and very large copper and amber Dragonflies.  Brilliant BLUE skies and nights so FULL of stars it's almost overwhelming.  There's children learning and Mothers learning.  Dog and Old Cat.  Young  Cat.  Learning.  Plant People just Going,  seeding and so so many of them Grasses….all manner of Grasses.  I don't even yet say much about the creek,  the canal…..a whole other world…..

Earth.  Planet Earth.  at its finest,  its most Glorious.  Free and of its own Accord.

This.  Earth.

this is where my most deep Heart beats.  Earth.  In all its myriad manifestations.

Cloth is changing.  Cloth that i could not find connection with is suddenly Cloth for how it IS.    How SO much it is…

in the center the piece  soaked in Storks beak…here,  probably not much looking green ?  But IS a kind of bronze green,  but in certain light,  not….    but then again,  in other Light…..Is…………

Yes. Earth. Heartbeat. I haven’t seen quail in many years. That heart stopping gasp when they explode from the ground near your feet. I don’t hear whip-poor-wills at all any more. I rarely see redheaded woodpeckers. But amazingly, pileated woodpeckers are more frequent. So much to learn each season.

I am so glad you live there! And have dropped the qualifier “invasive”. I know in my heart what you mean and love it too.
How did you get the pattern on the storksbill cloth?

Grace –You Are There Now. Home. Bringing more from the storage unit. Making cloth. Dyeing cloth.
This makes me happy. Brings me ease, as you would say. Nights So Full of Stars. I Remember those night skies full of stars when I would visit my friend in Sonoma. the Full moon next week–I will be thinking of the Moon you will see–there. so big.
It’s been a long time since we saw any pictures of the goats or stories of what they are doing…..

A wise woman recently commented in a dearly loved blog “every place has its stuff” … it is for us to choose whether we give power to the positive or the negative. Vigilance and joy can coexist methinks.
Love the marks on your stork’s bill cloth …

You have a great way of living with nature. I watched Anna Breytenbach’s video about communicating with sharks…so insightful. Might be fun to speak with the rattlesnakes.

The center, with so many paths of going and learning. And grasses! I always remember how you spoke of the grasses you loved in NM.

Beth, When I lived in NV, my fav was watching the quails walk along, single file on the fence-top, jumping from level to level – one right after the other!
