how does one Stand?    When hatred is not an option.  When violence is not an option.  Then….how does someOne stand?

Here,  she stands with.  Stands with the Spirit of Earth…maybe called Mother… Mother Earth,  or,  maybe one of the Mother's devas?   I always have hesitation with the concept of Earth as Mother.  Earth is so much more than Mother.   So…here,  maybe one of Earth's spirits….i think there are many.   But we all find images and word images to help us Hold Space.  All are true.

the whole of the commercial cloth…the more i looked,  the more All of it was needed for this.

i finally got the hole deep enough and planted the hydrangea.   The Fig,  also from mother's day,  continued to develop yellowed leaves,  that dried and dropped.  Not for lack of water.  Alyssia has difficulty making decisions.  She is "easier" with things having multiple possibilities.  But Alyssia is not here and the fig tree needs something.  I could have repotted it???  But instead  dug and planted it on the ridge behind the Wall Garden,  just behind the 2 SunFlowers that have such Will to grow.  I don't know if it's where she might have envisioned it,  but it's where it Is.  Gave Water.

and for The Children,  yet another day.  Another day of Emptiness.

My fig tree is in a pot and was dropping leaves so we pulled it out of the pot and pulled the roots out where they had grown twisted in the too small pot. It took much Time and Effort–we had to work without hurting anything. Now, back in the pot with fewer knotted roots and fresh good soil–new leaves appear and stay green.
I think taking the tree out of the pot and setting it into the ground was best. Your soil is good. You can always move it if Alyssia wants it elsewhere. In the first weeks nothing is permanent.

she couldn’t decide. so maybe it’s good. the decision has been made. I felt really ok with the planting of it…
i’d thought it would be root bound in the pot, but it wasn’t. But at the “point of”. And because it wasn’t
    a question of enough water.
Next days are in high 90’s. Sunday will be 104. Not good for moving roots from here to there. Felt like today was the day. We’ll see. I sat with it a long time this evening.

On June 30th, we can STAND and FACE in our respective states by attending this event: (Oroville and Chico as of yet are not taking part but Sacramento is.)

Sitting and having a silent conversation with the Tree–I do it and it has helped. If the Tree knows we are trying to do our best–it can decide which way to go. Yes, the heat will cause stress. Better in the Earth than the pot.

I was just researching the cause of leaves yellowing and dropping off. Wrong pH, over-watering and under-watering all vie for the crown. Sounds to me like entrusting an ailing plant to the wild soil is a great option.

Some plants just don’t like transition, so there’s that too. Taking a stand is very much in our collective minds and hearts right now. Is the hatred true, too? I don’t know. It is Believed. Clung to. Accepted as true. But the underlying beliefs, I cannot accept as true.
Ps. Of commercial cottons batiks are the WORST for handsewing. Can’t tell if that’s batik or not. I hate hand sewing with batiks.
    There’s that word again. Sigh.

i am finding it not hard to hand sew, just that it’s so
different than the worn linen and cottons, Deb’s worn
damasks, but as i continue, i am aware of something else, too, just don’t know what it is yet
