muslin just randomly wadded up and rubberbanded,  lying in the company of oak galls for just some hours.  Here,  still wet so a stronger image than when dried,  but  now i know what i can hope for.  LOVE.  an almost bluegrey in some light,  other light, a vague sage green.  I could not ask for more.

the Permaculture consult that was originally scheduled for last week postponed till this Wednesday.  9 am.  I can barely wait.

is this the first dye pot product here? If so, treasure it. It feels like a map of the now and a map of the future.A symbol of treasures to come.

the first in a certain way.
the first first was the Crane’s Bill
and then the Manzanita, both though in the too large
    copper wash tub…not heated…not mindful.
this is the first in the cast iron dye pot.

I wish I had the gift of “just balling up the fabric” and getting what you get for a result. There is a Spirit in your cloth. Such wonder!!!!

I tried contact dyeing with oak galls and it was spectacularly underwhelming. I’ll have to take a look at that link and give this way a go.
