Alyssia brought me this today,  saying it was really for my birthday last year,  just never got sent.  And she brought some flat thing that i can hook into my laptop so i can play it??? but she forgot the cord.  Tomorrow.  So, in anticipation,  i took the phone down for the Wall Garden watering and played U tube.  It will be the sound track for the next few days.

a three string bale of bedding straw that had gotten moldy in last winters rain and was moved over to B,  but left in an unattractive place and  ignored till now when we are spiffing up and i took it apart,  it still separated in flakes and moved it flake by flake to the area of the compost.  the bottom 4 inches had transformed.  it somehow had remained moist…..there has been ZERO water there,  but moist and in its decomposition,  the FRAGRANCE so sublime.  EARTH.  NO evidence of any insect,  any worm,  so all this…from microbes,  this Huge transformation…..

I have the same CD, and I chant along with the Hanuman Chalisa too for years. Met Krishna Das in the late nineties when there were only a few of us in a small yoga studio, and so love the voice.
    Gorgeous earh!

Straw is a lovely thing as it decomposes. I try and have a bale next to the compost pile. Always.

i love turning over a pile of whatever and finding life. i usually think that worms need to be there, but i guess not. as you hold proof of other ways.
and in other lives….my grand SON….peed on me…and his mama is amazed that he is gaining weight, on just what she produces from her body.
    much joy
