it's RAINING.  I waited.  Didn't want to close the door.  Now the floor is wet,  there are towels.

Tay and i had been out,  tying down the tarp over the Doe Goat Shelter.  There was

Wind

making it billow up.

WIND and   THUNDER….THUNDER.  We ran down the Hill to A to see as much of a Horizon as we can and were transported back to New Mexico,  the Storms,  so much a part of life there,  but here….a kind of Magic Show.   We can't see a straight line horizon.  only the approaching darkness,  but the scent of it,  the scent.   and the thrill now,  in our bodies from the Ions.

What does the Earth here feel?????????????   this anomaly?   Thunderstorm?????

i had stitched today,  all day off and on.  The Tree.  it was a joy because of Deb's thread  (Deb Lacativa)….in the past,  this kind of stitching had given me a claustrophobic kind of feeling…too dense….but with Deb's thread,  all opens out and there is this Joy.  Light and color,  moving through.  And once again,  it's slow going because i use a single strand.  Separating the 6 strands and using only one at a time.

so much Grief in this world….i think…for no reason.   I wish i could give a Thunderstorm and a single strand of thread to everysingleperson…it's nothing, really,  but it's so much Enough for Joy

put out anything to hold the water, to add to the soil when it’s not raining. so much just washes away. not where you are surrounded by soil, but in cities, surrounded by solid-non-adsorbing stuff. collect it anyway.

Rain. We had it yesterday evening. Coming down, rolling off the porch roof.
Filling up Riley’s bowls. Watering the plants. Falling asleep listening to the soft rain.

the scent of rain after a long dry spell is like nothing else …
and I am loving these roots and branches, imagining Deb’s colors surfacing one after the other as you stitch

Your tree is AMAZING .. and yes Deb’s treads add such depth. I love when the rains come and I can spend the hours stitching .. or reading .. or baking. Although the best part is listening to the rhythm of it all. Have a blessed day Grace!

My soul starts to shrivel during long periods of no rain. That tree, those roots and branches are heavenly! Some day I would love some of Deb’s thread to try.

Yes, your tree is amazing. I don’t know Deb, but her thread must be magic. “So much grief in the world.” Those open threads leave room for grief to be washed clean … like my liver…with each new rainfall.

it’s Deb Lacative…you can get some of her thread….it’s
    worth Everything.
is the usual 6 strand floss, but i always split it and use
just single strand at a time.
