emrie is very good at Noticing.  She saw how people were taking buckets here and there and went off to find a bucket for her own

put scraps of stuff from the floor in it and then carried it up and down the corridor,  dispensing.  She loves this.

Cowboy 911 was here today. Macho dudes.  Alyssia and i were mesmerized.    The across the field neighbors,  Kathy,  my age and her son Gabriel probably late 40's.  From Paradise.  The back of their horse trailer,  burnt,  the tail lights melted.  4 horses here,  1 old mare left behind.  Kathy cried with the telling.  Gabriel talked of his herb garden.  They went over to where Red Cross had blankets and jackets,  came back with down jackets and down vest.  Her sister from Oregon arrived late in the day.

We walked slow and over to the way right,  some so Beauty Full horses  with burns.  We walked slow.  Stopping at every one.  To say Love.  Their Eyes.

the two very young lambs,  a note left with them that they were being bottle fed.  We talked to the woman working with them as she went in to try.  The female won't take the bottle.  But tonight,  did press close into her as she sat on the floor, holding her.  She's weak.

Talkie,  so happy to see us, Talking,  Talkie,  and we held her.  Some chickens,  burned, heads pulled close in,  but being cared for,  being given  healing.

Emrie, so helpful. She has to be making people smile! I sent you an email, about a salve to help burned animals.
If you can read it, pass the womans info on to whomever.

there is something so soothing ?? about seeing those long clean aisles..thinking of you all walking there ..connecting ..witnessing..but at least in this space safe ..we are snow and then fogs so thick you cannot even see the meadow’s edge..barely the tops of the closest trees….my mind is so glad to be following a small girl with a large bucket..doing her work..bringing out smiles..gentle day grace

So wonderful to see a supportive community! btw, they raise alpacas in my area for the wool. If anyone where you are knows about alpacas, they might be able to determine if your alpaca needs shearing. The coat looks long and a haircut might lighten the load and help the feet heal. Best to all.

I think the love that you, Emrie and the volunteers are spreading is more healing than words can say. Please keep your eyes open for opportunities that people on the right coast can do for people on the left coast. Metta from my yoga class to you all.

Your eyes are always open; you notice everything. Love to see little Emrie with the bucket, helping the animals on her own. The nights are cold, and I hope you are warm. Well wishes to you and all the people and animals who are profoundly affected by this wild and deadly fire. Thank you for keeping all of the people who care about you updated. Hugs.
