I have great respect for Solnit, high regard from reading her words over time and in diverse places. I respect her as a scholar, a writer, a human being. And my experience of the world is very limited so i am going to trust her when she says that millions, maybe billions of people are walking away. Ok then. ok. Hope. I am going to Go with it.
don't know why i'm putting this here….its what happens sometimes when i go to enter pics from phone camera…me…looking down at my own thoughts and images….me, having just come in from the evening feed of the buck Goats…how i am. Quite often, whether or not i comb my hair. Maybe this is going to some kind of particular year and i sense the need to witness this old woman i've become?
