almost finished with the kantha,   and suddenly…Stones.  Not these particular pieces,  but stones.  There will be stones.  I'd not thought of stones at all,  but here they will be.  It's been a long long time since i've stitched down stones.  I think of Karen Ruane's work,  so long ago in Jude's Online.  How so Beauty Full that all these threads remain,  waiting for a particular moment to appear again.  I think how i use that word Beauty Full so much,  but i try to think of some word or way that is better,  or at least,  not over done,  and then   just say

Beauty Full.  because that's how it is.  Beauty.  FULL.

I, personally, am enchanted by that very small black and white thread. Just there at the edge.

Full of Beauty at the core. Every story begins ‘Once upon a time’ and I might add…’in the NOW’

I feel like I have stolen that word Beauty Full from you .. it just seems such a perfect expression for so many things that are so often shared here by all our cyber sisters.

Once upon a time…oh…..how that sounded so gentle and
really, new, when i read it in the middle of last night…
as if i hadn’t read the words since some previous lifetime,
    Once upon a time…..
Maybe that’s the name of this Cloth?
Please be well in your Cold days, just look out the

Hi Grace – moved beyond words by my most recent catch-up with your offerings to us. Just wanted to say that now and then I see something that is so beauty FULL that I think of you and say that word aloud as I imagine you would say it yourself. Another way threads can work, right?

I’ve been reading so many books recently and can’t remember where I read this … Mary Oliver’s poetry handbook perhaps? In any case … what I recall is the word “rock” conveys a sense of sharp edges whereas the sound of the word “stone” implies a softening and roundness.
And I echo Judy Martin’s comment about the weight of them, holding the bottom edge
