we call what is around us, above us,  Air.  That's such a small word for it.  Air.  as it extends UP from us,  we call it Sky.  A bigger word.   But what it is is so much more,  is so much.   It's what we breathe in and out, what we exchange with all Beings,  that breath and with our living,  also the energetic vibrations of our lives,  blending, mingling with the energetic vibrations of trees,  plant people,  even buildings and in cities, so much more.   Air.  touches our bodies,  goes into our lungs,  feeding our blood.

So i like Kantha stitch to represent that,  the Energetic Beingness of Air.

Saw mammatus clouds yesterday. I rarely see them. The air smelled good; the joints felt stiff. Very full of energy!

The waggle and flow of air shows up in your piece. Funny that “air” is a small word but “sky” is a big one. But you’re right.

need to look that up…is it the same as mammary clouds I’m
thinking?, the ones that can cause so much trouble,
the ones that slammed down the big fencing in New Mex?

David Abram’s writing is such a wandering flight of ideas, some say he can be annoyingly long winded, a friend who is studying the work of the philosopher Deleuze for her doctorate paper tried to read it but put it down after a few pages wishing he would just cut to the chase and get to the point, I love how he circles the ideas!

That exchange, so central to all breathing things, it makes you question where we begin and end.
