it's Hot already. Working in the Wall Garden. Planting Kale, 3 kinds. Red Russian, Nero Toscana and Dwarf Blue Curled.
Spinach, baby greens. The beets are UP. Everything weathered the Hail Storm well enough. Nothing died. I climbed on the picnic table and afixed the canopy to the frame. The shade gave me an additional hour plus to work there. Do some. Rest some.
2 days of growing. Sno Peas with actual peas in the pods. But still. Chewing works. The vines are beginning now to move toward Enough. The heat will cause pause. Today tho, two households worth and more. The Goats like them. And Tay.
over at Jude's online Teaching, there is conversation about Copy~ing. I had a lot of thoughts about it a day or so ago but now they have dwindled and faded away. But here, a small, like 3×4 little weaving. From her online class of Weaving. It was an example she gave. I went crazy with love about it. I TRIED to replicate it. I had enough strips of cloth so similar and even one strip that was FROM her. wove them. Nope. I wove them again. Nope and i wove them again. There is nothing really singular and amazng about these thin strips of cloth and a slight stitching of aqua thread….plain. Simple. But i COULD NOT REPLICATE IT AT ALL. NOT EVEN A REASONABLE FACSMILE.
NOT.
I TRIED to copy it. I couldn't. No where near. So….what's the deal? , with copying? You can't. Something in the hand of the Maker does not allow copy. Holds the oneness, the singleness.
i must have whined because she sent me this small weave. I hold it in my hand today. and love it like i did then. It's been an altar cloth in New Mex. Here, has waited in a box of things. It's out now.
and this morning, i looked at Her. There's a chill in the air of pre dawn. She must have slept there, on the bank of the creek and is sitting again. I covered her with Jude's little weave.
