coming up from Campsite A.  I stop 3 times to rest.  Sit.  Look around.  Look down

just this much.  Evidence of so much.  The rocks,  millennium.   Myriad fragments of plant people…stems,  leaves, seeds.  Small bits of these from seasons past.  Seeds clustered and lined in crevices between the stones and rocks.  Tree things

the arrangement of these "components" could not be more elegant.  Beauty IS.

look up and the going is going.  Searching for just the right place.

You are like the greatest teacher for me–to just stop and look. To actually see.
On the Family Walk each morning I am looking at so many new plants–weeds, I guess, but also Ladies Slippers, Swamp Milkweed setting flower buds-my husband says the meadow will be beautiful in a few weeks time when they flower and if we are lucky-see Monarchs. We have had to lift fallen trees off the path. Build little bridges over watery spots. Each day something new.

“Just right,” I wonder about that, thinking about Goldilocks.
