Irene – What a strong woman you are to speak out and share your pain and vulnerability from your recent diagnosis and surgery. And your wish to feel quiet acceptance and ready to flow on. So, that will be my prayer for you. Quiet acceptance ( or sometimes loud is good too) and ready to flow on (although sometimes a good stomp of your feet can be therapeutic too.) You are a whole person with the full range of emotions and thoughts and being. So strong. So honest. Love to you. And prayers. Many loving prayers.

Today, before first light, here in New Mexico, I have lit my soft green candle for you Irene. At the base of the candle is rosemary and sage, herbs that I grow and that offer cleansing, healing and protection. The soft color speaks to me of healing, the flame speaks to me of courage and I thank you for having the courage to share your journey. Your sharing with us is a gift that I will take in and hold in prayer and blessing. Every morning, I light my candle, speak words of daily blessings and intention. Your name has been to my words. You have begun your flow and we go with you, in spirit and in love.

How beautiful, Marti, thank you. I live in Sedona, and I think there’s nothing more special than the wee hours before dawn or the soft Southwest light at dusk for performing rituals, asking for/giving blessings, and saying thank you to the universe.

Oh Grace, I am on the verge of tears…so touched and grateful for all the comments here.
I had my second post-op checkup yesterday, and passed inspection…the nurse practitioner said I am healing nicely. I will have radiation at the end of the month…hoping to do brachytherapy (internal) radiation 2x/day for a week.
I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer at the beginning of the summer. Every woman with dense breasts should know about the following technology…it has saved my life:

i will be witnessing. I will watch, for my own self, too. I am so wary of medical intervention of any kind. You will lead me to softening of that. I read your comment to granddaughter Alyssia and her response was…They have great success with breast cancer, she will be good. This is what she might say to me if i were in this space…Gramma…they have great success now.
