my bed.

no war outside.   no unrest.   quiet.  Peace FULL., just before Light.   I wake.  The  sheets,  the pillow case,  the quilts.    I am so grateful for my bed.

only this many walnuts.  In the past,  i would steep them on the wood stove.  Sometimes even steep them OutSide.   I am afraid to make fire outside here.  So….inside.  On this little stove.   Bring to a boil and turn down,  simmer as long as it is.  Turn off for the day and then maybe,  again.   I look at the old cast iron pot,  so worn and odd in it's many years…before me,  many.   My own time with it.

the lid.   i could look at the lid all day.  This image.   All day.  Could look and never tire of it.  All day and maybe even more

i think.   How can i make a fire pit.  Outside.   ????   Can I?   or not?     I think i can but need to go deeply into the How.

I accidentally trip the side bar,  Sam Baker,  Mercy.  and realizing,  close my eyes and float in the above,  float in how it is,  Now,  Here.

Lovely predawn light. I googled fire pits and got lots of good information if you decide it might be possible. Research for sure since you are where you are. Sometimes I play mercy too.

The cast iron pot I got at Goodwill is not rusted –yet. and I have no walnuts- yet. But I think ahead and dream that I do. Spell check changed that to Palmists yet. Palmists. I will consider that. I have none of them as yet. Spell check is a wonder unto itself.
I might dig a fire pit or use the one my daughter has in her back yard. Lined with many rocks she finds- mostly granite from old fence lines- while she landscapes. She would say no but she reminds me of you.

an outdoor fire pit with a bit of paving around it to keep the danger of sparks to a minimum with a table & chair close by for stitching by firelight and moon gazing & I love those clay chimineas from Mexico, they work well and are safer than an open fire in a fire prone area

this pot is really old, crusted with stuff from
    age and use. it’s BeautyFull.
the fire pit itself would be so easy here….
    yes, like your daughter’s.
it’s that single errant spark that i fear and
there’s no real way to work with that as far as
i would be comfortable with yet. Am thinking.
and “reminding”…my guess is that All of Us here
remind ourselves of eachother. Your daughter
reminds me of you, reminds me of my daughter,
you remind me of me, I remind you of you….
    yes? don’t you think?

The pot and its lid are very wabi-sabi…you could meditate upon them for a long time.

Yes the pot. But still I am drawn back the most to your peaceful bed. A place where dreams are safe to incubate and grow. Guarded and illuminated by Green Tara. She completes my sense of YOU being THERE.

I know noting about Her beyond being told a couple times she is the “easiest” of Tara energies to assimilate. I just know she was There in NM and it feels right that she be There in CA as well.
