yes.

As you i am sure can tell,  i am uhhhhh, struggling.   The Christmas celebration emphasized things,   how we cling to old cultural mythology….the desire to Just Go and hope for the best.   And i do that.   Just Go and hope for the best.  I look everyday for validation that things are moving in a good direction.  But equally,  everyday,  it is heartbreaking.   so i look for ways to hold some semblance of balance because i think that's all i can ask in the moment.  Just some balance.  And i looked at these scraps and wondered what i am wanting from them….what i thought the sewing of them might tell me,  what meaning might be here.

They say….just stitch.   Ok.

maintaining sustainable fragments of balance – which, providence willing, we’ll have further/future grace to stitch together into progressively more revealing and meaningful patterns of who we’re becoming – is a vitally important activity for all of us, imo. Pretty much everywhere in the world our species is experiencing a dizzying array of internal and external pressures. Evolution never comes without both a bit of a fight and an inevitable price tag but it’s one thing to know that intellectually and quite another to actively embody the truth of it. Particularly within deeply personal process which is also deeply trans-personal and perhaps even universal in scope.
I believe you are leading and teaching by incredibly strong example that there’s special wisdom and solace to be gained for creatives who make things, in part, in order to be more strongly connected to themselves as well as each other. Who make things in a direct context to the rest of their life and its most meaningful/deliberate components.
of course you’re struggling. Who could remain connected to their heart and a sense of loving human authenticity and not struggle. That’s what darkness seeks, however. Our struggle perpetuating itself along a path of less light and therefore considerable less potential for loving resolution. Of pretty much anything let alone the things that are most important for all sentient life.
But we are all here to hold you steady as you take your time finding a fresh and authentically renewed sense of footing. We’re not just able to be here for you, we’re already here with you.

I understand. But making a mess of things- sometimes holds more weight in the learning process than being safe doing nothing…and stitching cloth to cloth might be what you need right now.. so …sew.
And sewing can always be unsewn- I do it ALL THE TIME
