cheese cloth is not the ideal stuffing.   Nor is the urgent technique i fell into…..fast….just fill.   But it's all ok.  I know what i wanted to know.    Can i make a figure easily and with no need for "preciousness".    Can  i  make a  figure  to  simply  receive a blind urge.   yes.    I used to make and sell  "angels".  sewed by machine.  I could do that blind after a while.   Many hundreds of them.   I used colorfully dyed  mohair  yarn for hair….each  strand individually stitched into place.  There were Guardian Angels and Wish Angels.  They had words.   The wish angels had instruction.    That seems another lifetime.   I used to make "art dolls"  fiber bodies and the carved faces and hands.   Hundreds of them.  Some lifesize.   I used to use Alyssia's face to make the gauze and plaster strip mask for the lifesize ones.  She was maybe 6, 7, and 8 years.   That's from another life,  too.

it's been a loooooong time.   Why this, why now?

on the other hand … if not now, when?
maybe you’re doing it because it’s portable and emotive? Also because it has a form that changes as it comes to stronger life. And because you had what you needed to express so much that moves beyond words – also the things you had to work with took a new form. Options can get in the way of ingenuity – not always but sometimes?
I had the suckiest day there has been for quite some time but I came here and saw her propped on the thread cone – contemplating the herb mix seed packet. I recalled who I was. such a nice way to move closer to sleep and hoping to rest deeply …

Her hands, the open gesture of the left, receiving; the right giving it back to the earth. For me She is confirmation of what you know. Continually receiving and giving back, its Her work, your work. Strength for the journey dear Grace.

I love her Grace. You will love ‘The Healing Doll Way’ book by Barb Kobe, she is a wonderful author and teacher. Pamela Hasting’s work and ideas are amazing too.

Because there is a calling to do so……..?
She is beautiful. And reminds me that not everything needs to be like others think they should be–smooth and no lumps

Because you can, and because it’s fun! You could make a couple of little kids? Emrie could paint them, or decorate them.
