i squat. place my palm on them, fingertips..lightly . They are cool and sure. They say to be Still.
I seen to always be a day behind reading your posts .. it’s ok because I get to read the different responses and shared links. Tonight I have found much needed comfort here .. I am heading for bed feeling blessed. It has been an overwhelming weekend of heartache.

i go back to the comments, a “day behind”…it’s a good way.
Where it was and where it is.
I love you Tina, Tina, big. Sleep well and rise again to the

Circle of rocks in front of our casita, all of them collected from one of my favorite New Mexico places, Jemez Springs and a few from up in Sandia Peak…before taking each, I asked and left a handful of the colorful Indian corn that I grow in exchange…
This rock circle has come to mean so much to me, solace, even though I uprooted them, a place to hold and contain anger as in the ritual that I did with them when the Evil one visited our city of Rio Rancho…
Rock colors range from golden umber to sienna to the striated colors of gray and clay. Each give me a story when I sit on the ground and place my hands on them.
This morning I pruned my rosemary plant to take some sprigs for drying to use later in cooking and also to sprinkle some on top, in and around my rock circle…Rosemary for remembrance, never let us forget George Floyd and all who have died needlessly…

in our current human-driven landscape I’m finding that connecting to reliable forms of organic solace is a very necessary component of staying wise or at least somewhat balanced and relatively healthy…

I remember climbing down into rock caves long ago. How the rocks
held sounds as vibration in the dark damp.
How it was like coming home. They are
rooted sure as living plants. Longer, very slow stories closer to
the bone.
