is there a thing of Destiny?   even about   "small"  Things   …like green beans?   in the Wall Garden,  they were uhhhhh,  Taken,   taken at ground level almost as soon as their second leaves.    Replanted here at B and going along but this mornng…2 of them,  disappeared for the most part….. but just the leaves this time….????? and closest to the fence,  the Echinacea ,  it's 3 blooms, drying,  There at around 10:00 you can see the remaining leaves of Plant?????   So…if you were a Goat and you wanted those green bean leaves and you leaned hard into the fence …..first the echinacea,  why not,  on the way to those leaves….?????   OR maybe whatever it was that ate the plant at  the Wall Garden….finally found it here at B????

Green Beans.   seems simple,  wanting to grow green beans.

all the fabrics look so lovely together. thinking also about how garden mysteries can be so vexing. And how you did very clearly say “I want to grow a green bean” even if only just one. can’t remember your exact wording.
sometimes they have quite a sense of humor …

Reminds me of the year the deer ate 134 six-inch tall okra plants in one night. Nothing left but tiny stems.

I understand the importance of “one green bean”, from deep in my heart! In all my years of growing, this is the first time/year that I have seen deer eat rhubarb stalks, of all things. They – 3 – nipped the leaves (poisonous to animals including humans) off as straight and true as if using a lopper or sharp knife. nipped the stalk at dirt level, the same way. If I had not seen it occur, I would have been hard put to not blame a 2-footed animal. I love the one sturdy green bean, in your beautiful hand. both are powerful images, but why that is so, I can’t describe. Stay safe in the heat, please. It is unbearable here in the PNW. blessings.
