it might appear that nothing has happened, is happening. but not so. Today, there is Sky. Made with Inktense. Which is significant, because now the leaves can come. and the human being is more defined. this has to be so care Full because i don't know. So just a little at a time. then rest and look.

Yes a language:
When I first started naturally dyeing cloth, it was all I wanted to do, it was enough of a creative outpouring…I would place my dyed cloths all over the bed or table and look, not needing or wanting much else from them until one day, and I do not mean to get too far out here, but one day I heard a voice speak of the land, of how the gifts of the land tell a story and how the language does not need words, just a sense of place, a feeling that comes together when needle and thread meet cloth.
There have been times when I have a preconceived landscape story in mind and it works but what brings me into that connection between creativity and spirit and place is simply when I wait and listen…

Cloth calls to me. Scraps more than large cuts. But I don’t think I know the language very well. Like learning school French and being confused by the Canadian patois. But I think I’m learning.
