not loud or rough or demanding, clamoring
the power of the soft. that has propelled Life, like the power of the mycelium that gives rise to its fruit of mushrooms with their zillions of spores. The moss, Dawn, the curl of the buck's lip as he appreciates the smell of the doe, Talkie's going to bed song, Emrie's slo motion cartwheel
and these scraps that have maintained this same tangle over years

in corresponding with Marti recently, it occurred to me that this blog world is very much like the mycelium … posts with comments that lead to posts with comments that lead to posts with comments … threads of words and thoughts spreading around the world, supporting each other, ever-growing and creating

they all used to hang in the ROOM in New Mexico…in one of those gradated sized vegetable hanging baskets…do you know? how else to say it, like metal link netting????? in the bottom basket. They have been together for years and years.
