at the end of October or early in December,  i didn't write it down,  i just pushed some peas in the grow bags.  and i dont remember if they were Pods or Snap Peas.   I really didn't think anything would come of them.  The ones that i'd grown since spring,  that vined,  succumbed to the intense heat of the summer.   Pea Pods and Snap Peas are prized vegetables by all of us.  If i can be more sensitive to the their needs and more intuitive of the shifts in weather,  maybe.  There are 3 beauty Full vibrant pods.  6 blooms altogether.   I might have more seed peas down there somewhere.  If so,  now would be the time to plant.  and write it down.

back in the day (four houses ago) we used to grow peas, but they never lasted long enough before the hot weather set in … and then you’re ruined, because the food store varieties can’t hold a candle to home grown … looks like you’ve got some happy eating ahead of you!

Peas would be a great fall crop for you, as well as early spring. My family has always planted by the end of February.

Grace I’ve read your blog for years. But I think I have only commented once. I’m wondering if you could help me. I now find myself in a situation similar to yours in that I don’t have electricity. Would you mind sharing the type of batteries you use to power your lap top and phone etc? I sure appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you!

    Hello, Chris…..i smile….this is great…you showing up
    with this question…
Yes. i can tell you what i know. best would be pics that i can email you. Alyssia does all the battery shopping.
Critical to all of it is a place that DOES have electricity, to plug them in and recharge. That is her place in town.
Otherwise…it would need to be solar. Or just somehow
    live WITHOUT
I would be so happy if you would talk a little about how it
is for you in your similar situation???????? Could you?
    Will email in the morning

it’s just great to know that someone else is living as i am.
I would not change it for Any Thing. Even if some how
i couldn’t connect to that recharge in town. But then…i wouldn’t be talking to you here…hmmmm.
