Old Oak

January 7th.   Sharing Tricksters Hoard   Trickstershoard.com.   Margery Knott.    She offered.   i said,  Yes….yes,  please.

Today Old Oak is on this Hill.   The box arrived at Alyssia's  Tuesday night.   I went today.   the three of us opened  the box in the driveway of the Yellow House.    

and then back here.

Real.   is a Being.   is a Presence.    Tay and   I,  sometimes Puppy  are   no longer alone in this tin house.    

i want to show Her everything.  Want to tell Her everything.    i  had found the Cobalt Glass door knob,  just 2 days ago.  Had given in to having left it behind.   But looking for the hotplate for the Yellow House,   there it was…wrapped in a dish towel.  I want to tell Her about the Cobalt Door Knob that i have,  even if i have no door.

    Old Oak has come home; your words, “she is a presence”, Yes. Surrounded by what holds meaning for you, she contains it all but also expands as she settles in…And when you take her outside to show her her family of Oaks, the goats, the land, it will be a transcendent moment.
    To see Margery’s art on a computer screen is one thing; to see it up close and personal is to see amazing work, how the woven mask is fused to the felt background is wondrous to behold.
    I feel the same way with my own Margery mask, Forest Who Sings Herself into Being. She is on the bedroom wall, next to my cloth titled, High Desert Meadow. High Desert Meadow is bedecked with a wonderful medicine bag that Nancy of Pomegranate Trail made for me.
    Nancy’s bag was out in our living room but when Forest arrived, I knew they were meant to be together because inside Nancy’s bag are feathers that R found on one of his walks, stones that my granddaughter found when we were in the Rocky Mountains and a little moss covered twig that my grandson wanted me to have. it is as if these were waiting for Forest to join them, offerings of welcome.
    Old Oak is joining her rightful place, Forest has not only sung herself into being, she has Become…
    Thank you Margery for these amazing gifts and thank you grace for letting us also welcome Old Oak.
