when i move the XLG bags of scraps back and forth from table bench across from me to the bed…when Alyssia is coming,   they change places…whose on top…..but one bag has somehow been on top for a while now and these particular scraps have been looking at me.   Today i took them out.   They are next,  they say.

and a Big Deal.   We are ,  Alyssia as advisor,  are almost on the brink of deciding on which printer to get.    For the

cards

i like this for two reasons…one that it is going to Happen and two,  that she wouldn't put as much time into researching if she didn't have faith that it will work.

Those cloths are looking at me and giving me much needed warmth with their colors, especially the little scrap of orange because it is 12 degrees outside and we have snow piled up against the front door, all over the place and ice too! At first, when it came down yesterday it was enchanting, then it never stopped and by 4 pm, it was almost smothering…but we have soup, tea, good bread, good books and I baked an old fashioned cinnamon coffee cake so all will be well. I’m thankful that I put an extra covering over the herbs and Egyptian Walking onions out on the patio table but it still is iffy…
WHAT is not iffy will be the cards that you will create: each one a story within itself…

the ice has found its way to Texas … so yes, soup and bread and books … and I laughed when the TV weather guy said “you shouldn’t venture out so make sure you’re with someone you want to be with for the next two days”

a printer, how great! … and by that I assume you mean the device not the service … I can’t imagine not having one as I copy and scan as well as print on mine … fair warning: over time you will spend far more on ink than you ever did on the printer itself (but I’m sure Alyssia is well aware of that)
and I have been gifted some batiks like yours … still pondering what to do with them

i check weather where you are, in Polvadera…How COLD i
would be….burning wood burning wood burning wood
i send courage to your herbs and the Onions, to do what they
    can
but you have COLD. Surprising COLD. We will see.

little business, i smile. i am not
a business person. Closest i got to that was when i had the Art Dolls in a few different galleries.
what i want this for….oh, eee, how to say it….What i want this for is to send the Cloths and the Drawings OUT into the world. If people do want the Cards, it means to me that they want what i make. They want what i see, what i imagine, what i love. And this way,
it is for an easy exchange….I can afford cards. I may not be able to afford the Art. Some may not want the Cloth itself, but may resonate to the Idea of it? its Story?
We’ll see. I don’t have any idea, but i want to try this. and so…

mine came wrapped in twine, no labels or selvedge printing … and knowing the giver, I’m pretty sure they were purchased at an art show so it’s unlikely they can be traced back
