i don't know.   From the Forever Zone thoughts on story…..i just don't know what to think,  how to think what to think.   Something in me is resistant.   i don't know.    so i just picked up this Cloth…

story?   no,  no story,  s t o r y,  a moment in time of a Place maybe?  Just an image of Place?   Maybe that's closer…an image.

an image of ……..a moment in time.  It's all i can come up with.

a proposal .. give no titel on this or other works , those who look at the cloth picture they can make there own words on it ,
sometimes you know what you have to give name and tath is beautyful,
wish you an open week full of rest in your had ( and wish myself the same , haha )

and then right at the end I said, So now I go back to the idea, that I think you might get a feeling from what I created, something familiar, without me explaining it so fully. That the story is common in some unspoken way. The form it has taken (the moment in time). And the thread that runs though it.

taking photos & writing about whatever I have just made helps to clarify the work as does listing the materials and dimensions. It takes the process out of the subjective experience of making into the objective of letting it go out into the world

I guess it depends what you want out of your Cloths. I realize if I want a longer story, I can start asking questions. Why is the goat doing there? Does the darker cloth represent a fence? Does the goat know anything about the lizards? etc. (I am a good question generator.) On the other hand, your blog posts are always perfect stories, some very tiny, complete with titles. They have everything they need.

I think you prefer paper and are forcing the use of cloth.

long ago, my much=older-than-me cousin used to endlessly quote Rod Stewart … “every picture tells a story, don’t it?”
