In response to the post here the other day,  Margery emailed me this poem she had written some years ago.   She will blog about it at Trickster's Hoard soon.   But gave permission to put it here now,   because of the Urgency she sensed.  Little could she know how completely stellar this was/is.  How Completely  a communication from the Intelligence of the Universe as i experience lately.

I don't know how to insert poems in their proper and Good form,  stanzas and all …. no matter what i try,  they just run on in ordinary sentences so i asked Jude,  as i have other times done,  for Help.   She came here.  Placed the poem and in the Beauty Full font.

I have this Poem of Prayer.   I have The Book of Joy from Lacelady.   I have Help when i need it.   All Given.  I have all i need to learn,  understand,   and go forward into the Next    through Communion of Communication X 3 in the moment,  X  infinity,  just waiting

this is a BIG BLOG POST for Emrie…..what i leave behind if it still exists into the future.   I want her to know…..

What you are meant to learn in any lifetime WILL  Present.   You can keep saying    LATER   and it will wait.  But STILL be there,  Waiting.   Even as you live your 77th year.

    Both the words from Margery and your words, are such gifts:
    “Words are salmon, prayers returning
    And if they are certain to die in the safe pool of your page
    as salmon are to die in the riverine shallows,
    remember the fertile eggs they leave-minute, perhaps unnoticed,yet
    desiring life…”
    What you leave behind for Emrie, what we leave behind for our grandchildren, seeds of intention, aspects of our lives that although may seem small, not monumental, are filled with our deep love for what matters, our own understanding of where we are in this grand place in Mother Earth, how we have held to honoring her and each other…seeds that wait to grow, continuing the cycle of season, of life.

    thank you to Margery for the gift of these words … so freighted with promise for those of us who wish to create something that will hold meaning both now and after we have gone
    and yes, it feels like we are swimming upstream, against terrible tides of hatred and division, pandemic and climate change … the effort is so very much worth it

    I recently read a very good book called “From the Mountains to the Sea: The Historic Restoration of the Penobscot River.” Here is some of the description: “On June 14, 2016, for the first time in two centuries, an Atlantic salmon swam through the town of Howland, Maine, bound for spawning grounds that had been inaccessible for generations. Along the riverbank, hundreds of people cheered as they helped celebrate the event marking the culmination of a remarkable seventeen-year effort by an unlikely and diverse alliance of people and organizations.” I’m putting this here because – what happens in Margery’s beautiful poem isn’t just an imagining, although imagining is itself a wonderful inspiration and fuel. It can actually happen.

    the journey of Salmon. in this country. What we have taken and then demanded of them.
    the creek down there that runs the border of this Hill…
    is run off from the Hatchery at lake Oroville…a salmon hatchery
    where there are turbines for the Dam
