so if this were a Cloth…if the drawing was on cloth and surrounded by cloth, the scraps of the cloth would tell the story, would Bring the story.
just the drawing, could be just this. But if there wanted to be Story, would need marks and lines. and then
with cloth, or, at least in the way i like to collage it, the story would be open to being seen in many ways…as many ways as viewers, would have many meanings. many stories.
the drawing, with more drawing, would be the story I would tell.
Every time, I am so floored by your drawings, your faces. Such talent Grace. I may not understand your last line, but I am thinking that depending how a drawing is drawn, it too could have as many stories as there is viewers. I was going to say only with words does the creator ‘tell’ the story…but that is not true either because we each understand what we read from our own vantage point, our own experiences…

It will be interesting to see how long it takes. how it moves with time and season. when drawing will be one season and stitching comes in another season, perhaps. My sense is it may take a few years for such a rhythm but I may be wrong about that. I am beginning to draw and focus now on spin.
