so…the Pomegranate is gone.  Am pretty sure it's the squirrels.   However……….the Plumcot.   they've been at differing points of development until the last couple days when Suddenly!   RIPE.  Will take the little step ladder down tomorrow?,  store at Alyssia's…maybe we can make jam?  or just freeze?  or SomeThing….they are incredibly sweet.  There would be no need for sugar at all.    In the past,  the Deer and whatever yearling she had enjoyed them.   so,  this abundance comes with a tinge of  loss…what has become of her?  And the Asian Pear has begun.

you can see.   How dry already.  Grasses have turned their heads to Wind.     and i think how i said that,  how i have been saying it that way for quite a while now.  No longer saying  the Grass People.    How for some time,  not wanting to pull their association to

people

who for a large part….are not the species with whom to claim kinship.

such a seemingly small tree to bear so much fruit … beyond counting
and I’m wondering, can some of the fruit be shaken down to land on the pillows of grass?

Plumcot. I have heard of these but never had one! I will keep my eye out for them in the stores. Your Grass People are yours and I am sure they enjoy that association. ❤️

Grace~ Wow! This reminds me of the year we got an abundance of apricots…the sweetest, best apricots ever! I will look for Plumcots too, though I know homegrown would have so much more flavor.
I watch the hills change as I drive, the brown coming so much more quickly it seems…and it is quite windy here today.

Peggy…maybe plumcots are Californian? I never heard of
    them before here.
This is that little tree you camped by when you were here.
