a green bean

there are 4 grow bags with green beans.    They all developed some kind of dry leaf something.   But also,  continued.

maybe a motto of mine might be ignorance is bliss?….not really bliss,  but somehow…excused?     i say…i don't know,  and that somehow excuses me?    

the vines grew.  they're spindly.  All the newer leaves are as one would hope leaves would be and little blossoms appear but they dry up.    i was giving water yesterday,  there,  and also on phone with Alyssia and describing to her the little  blossoms…there are 3,   when i saw the BEAN.   

right after i took this pic i ate it.   It was meaty.  crunchy.   and SO Green Bean.      so………………………….again.   What this says to me is that i CAN.    It is POSSIBLE.   What else this says to me is that …………i don't know………..doesn't cut it.   I don't know needs to be followed by,   I'll find out.   That Bean Plant did the Very Best it Could.     Did I?,  not really.

    flowers are forming on our newly planted tomato … and it is raining, after weeks and weeks of no rain, the first rain this little plant has ever experienced … and the temperatures have gone down into the 90s, so I’m hoping the flowers aren’t sterile … the other new tomato failed, so yet another one has been planted
    I used to eat wild berries as I picked them … they needed no accompaniment

    Not sure if any amount of garden tendering can overcome such heat extremes!!! Hope all in the claws of Covid get well soon! Mild cases at our place still involved three to four days of Sick enough in bed to sleep for days. And lingering low energy for weeks. No doctors needed… that is my wish for them.. no doctors needed!!!

    Mmmm…when a veggie or fruit, for that matter, tastes like it is “supposed” to…meaning like the produce of our childhoods 🙂 Yum.
    I just heard that exact phrase in a training today…I’ll find out. 🙂

    they are doing well. and yes, no doctors needed.
    Alyssia can test in the morning, and test Emrie. We Hope.
    Julian finally tested positive. his biggest issue is stuffed nose. he is not a mouth breather. feels like he might suffocate.
    i watch. Jeff sleeps. Alyssia feeds children. maintains order. lets dogs in and out. orders food. Women.
    i have the HIGHEST REGARD for women

    i don’t know. it’s hard to find that….even here, the
    food basket of the nation, that taste i might go in search of that. but…maybe it’s not possible. ?
    i’ll find out. as much as i can.
