the little butterfly shape in hair….my friend Raina sent Emrie many things some of which were little clip Hair Prettys,  all rainbow colored,  i think 6 or 8 and Emrie wanted me to have one.  I wear it every day.  mine is a peach orangie pinkish which is kind of amber.   I like it a lot.   Like knowing it's there somewhere on my head.   I should have taken a pic.   I should have colored it in here.

Maybe you can have a photo taken of you with your hair clip, and a photo of Emrie with hers and bring them here so we can see the butterfly twins…Old Nana and Emrie, what a joy that would be to see…

That story should be printed and placed on the back of this incredible drawing!

this drawing (revelation!) is just so splendid ~ tickles me inordinately! I love line-drawings. As I look at this, my eyes and mind go “walk about” imagining swirls and stripes and colors, hearing the music of life. How seemingly “simple pleasures” are glimpses and hints of complexities and connections that intertwine – “that lie beneath”! A gift to a child, shared with Old Nana, complementary events and exchanges, written in a Butterfly Clip.

Thursday morning “stillness”, was looking at vintage projects I made years ago of butterflies painted on silk, and coffee-filter butterflies “painted” with pressed flowers ~ leftovers of a completed book project.
Blessings and joy, to all who gather here.

Knowing that you are wearing Emrie’s gift everyday must make her feel so happy. How is she doing with school??
