it's 90 again…for a few days then 80s. But the shift is palpable. I think, the light. Same for me. the light.

(((Grace))) I love coming here to your sharings of life on The Hill, am reading a writer that you first made me aware of last year. Stephen Harrod Buhner’s “Earth Grief: the journey into and through ecological loss” is a book that I will read over and over again as it gives me hope & challenges my blind spots, helping me dance with the changes as does your deep awareness & careful observance of the life all around you in the soil, in the air, in the water… the way you live so lightly on our earth is helping me slow down and truly see what’s happening down here!

Dear Grace, I have faith that the light is showing us that the shift is coming…..I love your play with the fabric in the traditional patterns…..that is what I had decided to do this time…I just wanted to stitch and wanted a place to express my feelings with all that is going on…so I decided on doing some 9 patch squares in different ways that can be a place for feelings……I am attaching them to some pieces I just put together ……it is feeling good and that is what is helping right now…..thank you for showing up all these days….it is very meaningful…..and encouraging….

The summer to fall shift is, to me, a strong feeling tied to temperature and light and emotions. It’s a bittersweet time since I’m a summer and light person. Very much solar powered.

Yes…some kind of order….order and repair….I remember years and years ago when China had the great big earthquake…..and I started sewing furiously as if I could stitch the world back together….
