there's no good reason to say much about Christmas.   The kids of course LOVE christmas.   I was totally ready this year to love their love of christmas,  ready to set out to Alyssia's where everyone was gathering when she called to say that Veronica tested positive for Covid.   i didn't go.    and i was given a day i'd not expected and spent time in odd ways.   But did simply return to the Spirals.   it felt like home.   This one,  such a perfect Do Not Match.   and now to continue.

We were home too. Nothing at all planned, except to stay in away from folks, stay safe for the 3rd. My sister tested positive too, before the cousin’s Christmas event, so she was/is home too. Strange year. I did lots of napping 🙂
The ‘no match’ really does work wonders! I like how this one is bookended with the light and dark of this season.

on Thanksgiving, i pretty much just stayed outside. It was warm and sunny. Jenny found that difficult so they agreed, she and Alyssia, that they would test everyone this morning. Which was what it was. Jax had been to Hawaii with his mother to visit all her relatives there. Had been back from his plane trip for a day. Jeff and Veronica seem to be seeing things like the flu. not so much a worry. They don’t mask. I don’t really know how much Jenny masks. or her man. Alyssia just does the best she can among them. Both she and Emrie mask.
so…had they not done the testing, i would have gone because i felt i had to. Would have done the inside thing, the board games etc. i watched self make that decision.
i don’t think i would do very well with Covid. Junky lungs.
what’s worth it?????? Play board games and die? Would have worn my N 95 mask…but…..

I get it. I double mask at work all day. They come off only when I get in my car. My asthma lungs understand your Junky lungs 🙂
we did get to face time with son, wife, little grandson. He was excited to show us the Delicata Squash he got for Christmas. This was shown before the more Magna Tiles or Dump Truck. Ah, to be two 🙂

You have made a home for yourself with the spirals. We were very late for the family gathering because of a miscommunication. It didn’t seem to matter much.

Christmas to me is Tradition.. and all about the children. But my grandkids are adults now and we have broken the old tradition and started new ones that allows everyone to not feel guilty for not attending for any reason. Also, We are forever in the Covid world now. I would give up any tradition for my life. We had a quiet camp meal then drove to other camps and wished friends a Happy Holiday.. took a drive through the desert and it was a very lovely day. I would have been just as happy to be home alone stitching!

Your family gave you a wonderful Christmas gift by testing themselves … it’s the new way of showing how much we care about those we love.

Our time together was two quick times outside because my granddaughter tested positive……schools had so many kids out…..I have heard from several friends that their Celebration was outside, too….a short time to at least see each other…..then back in the house to just be…..good that we know to take care of ourselves…..hoping you are staying warm….and love seeing your spirals!
