As I look at Grandmother rock, I think back to another rock, one I called Ancient Mother. Met Ancient Mother when I spent the weekend with you in Polvadera, on May 24, 2014, what we called our camp out. We hiked to Water Canyon in Magdalena. I looked up and there she was and I needed to hug her…feel the same about Grandmother Rock.
Rocks look hard but the urge to encircle them is so compelling and when you do, sometimes you sense a warmth, and what sounds like a humming sound as if the rock says, “Come closer, I have a story to share…LikeLike

Rocks are so wonderful. We have a lot of rocks here. Some major big boulders, maybe grandmothers too.

What a great rock…so interesting and ancient. The pinecone looks so big! There is an awesome rock around the corner that J. covets! I’ll try to get a photo 🙂
