i like it this way the best…the irregularity.  I reminded self tho that i'm not making a Tree Hanging,  but a blanket.

did try 5 spirals across but it feels crowded.

also realized that i'd forgotten the  folded border on each side.   Just estimated here and once  did that  i see that everything  will need to be moved a little to the left.   I still imagine self  kantha~ing the borders.   Need time to let it all rest.

This is a stretch but maybe not because I want to put something here: your spirals so deep in color and pattern, and I think of my beloved Salsa Queen, Celia Cruz, lover of color, the bolder the better. I have just learned that she will be honored with her face on a US quarter…the first Afro Latina woman.

something odd about the comment boxes today … but I found my way here … and yes, how the spirals are spaced/arranged is such a personal choice … what feels right to the person who will live with the cloth … when I made Parker’s bed coverlet, I gave Meg ten blocks and asked her to pick the eight she liked best and then to put them in an order that appealed to her … on the other hand, when I made the coverlet for Ellis, I knew how I wanted them to go … so, whatever works I guess

It has to feel right to you. Love how it is similar and yet so different from mine. 🙂
