Sleep Over. But this morning, in cleaning up and straightening out to get ready, I Found. Lost now for maybe a few weeks, had gotten bumped off the table one morning in the still darkness….i'd looked and looked. was bereft but knowing it had to be here somewhere….let it go. and today, found. Carnelian. I'm taking it as a Sign.

The color and shape so powerful, a good sign. For me signs include seasonal rituals. The apple tree out front has exploded with leaves and blossoms so of course, I snipped a small branch to put into a glass vase, in this case an empty bottle of limoncello that my nephew made and I’ve placed it next to the Kokopelli statue on my patio table. I have always honored the coming of spring with blooming branches, wherever I have lived, sometimes forcing them in Feb to bring their loveliness indoors. Next to the little apple blossom branches is an old gnarly little basket of collected rocks from this place because I believe that stories and spirit reside in them. Symbols of the land, rituals- my signs to just keep going…

I’m glad this one came back to you, in this moment. I liked seeing striped FOUND, reminding me of colored SAFE 🙂
I had a smooth, small red rock in the armrest on my side of the car for weeks…found and dropped in there. I would caress it on drives. But, I didn’t think to remind J. it was in there and the car wash guys sucked it up with their vacuum. I was sad and miss it. I’m glad yours only went walkabout in your home. xo
Enjoy your sleepover.LikeLike
