am learning to

notice    and then

wonder.

It could have …spread.   as in more space.   It is clear that the WET winter was Good and well received,  but   not by uhhhh,   extending out.   But rather by  strengthening,   multiplying  Close.   a thicket of Yarrow.   What does this tell me?????

so.  i just  now chewed two Plantain leaves.   into a pulp.   it has an interesting taste.   that i can't say is "liKe" …anything,  is    Well, just is.   Once it was all softened,   i propped my foot up on the table and rubbed it over    "those toes".

You are reminding me that I have salve to make this weekend… There is so much to notice in the garden right now.

there was a tiny little patch of yarrow at the Hill Country house, about halfway up the driveway to the left … it came up faithfully every year, but never spread

Your yarrow thicket looks nice and healthy. Those little feathery leaves – love them. Mine is growing in an awkward place. I might try to move some of it.

i’m so glad i don’t need to. it’s hard for me to “pull”
plants of any kind. transplant…i am being very
mindfull…remembering that soon the summer comes on and
the Heat and the dependency on me for water. B Garden
really is a small space. ….that i created, or
caused, caused in the Buddhist sense…. Am causing,
    on going.

I have been collecting calendula to turn into salve….looked at various recipes ….one mixed with plantain…but have decided to use just the calendula……every green being has exploded here and our cover crop looks amazing….but we have to give it back to the earth….that is the way of cover crops. Rain has really blessed us …..we will just now plant some seeds…..I love your deep appreciation of every being…..

We followed the advice of friend who has a successful organic farm and got a mix of organic barley, white oats, vetch, bell beans and peas from Peaceful Valley in Grass Valley….our first time doing this and we will see how it helps …yesterday part of it was cut down and put in the compost…..roots are left in the ground and then we will plant right into it after just breaking it up a bit…we are just working with the earth as it is here….I actually just sat and watched…
