the   "weather"    rain again,  3 days now   and back to 50's

things continue….    Malabar,   in front of Echinacea,  in front of Madder….inopportune place,     but There      self seeded     i will accept.    the neighbors hybrid wolf dogs loose today.   Not since the initial days when Tay and I  arrived here   and we  "had words".   Goats gathered tight and froze,  staring.   It is not good,  living without    Dog.

Old guy (years ago) next door. Had a hybrid Wolf.
the owner said- no hands, nothing near his mouth. There was always danger.

I’m so sorry Grace I’m sure you continue to miss him every day .. for one reason or another. I want to say it get easier … I think it’s more that one has to just keep going.

Just the safety and reassurance of your own dog’s bark to ward off dangers of others being human or animal… must be a big part of thoughts these days…. A Missing a link in your personal chain… can never be replaced.. and if…would the next dog need much training,, or does breed play a big part in “natural protector?

way back in early days in New Mexico…El Cerro Mission…
i got a hybrid pup. He was Beyond BeautyFull and Fine.
    his name
    Winter Sky at Twilight
you can picture him from that…also had my road dog,
Chongo. so they had each other but he was bored. He began jumping the 6 ft chain link fence that surrounded the few
acres of my place, running horses. It was amazing to
watch him but….i gave him to a Fish and Game officer.

it does. but this place is complicated…they would need a sense too of the large space, the 6 acres I don’t know how common that is. Had never needed that before. Tay just
    DID.
