Nogal's forest that we have left closed.   In the last couple weeks become a Thistle Forest????   Many.   Some taller than i am.  An unlikely place,   shady,  fecund….a place for moss and fungus  beside having 3 small sunny glens.   But the Thistles are not in the sunny glens.  more ?????   Why?   am watching.

All I come up with is adaptation. Apparently they don’t like too much heat, so perhaps they’ve learned to thrive in shade. Be interesting to learn how they do in the hottest weather.
