is it just another example,   like butterflies and flowers,    the MIND of the Universe,    the Mind of the God Thing,   pleasing ITS SELF ?   and i think….as i write those words….God Thing….how i used to try to explain  God to my kids….one of which now is Jenny,       and i think how Emrie doesn't know that concept….

Filaments, branch threads, weaving and dancing across the sky, creating a cosmic tapestry. These CA pine trees, their scientific name, Pinus sabiniana sits on the tongue like a song lyric and how just saying the name, brought forth a memory that has all to do with the sacredness of connection.
When my twin grandson and granddaughter were 3 yrs old, they attended a music class that featured many musical instruments from all over the world, songs and dances as well. Parents and the few grandparents who attended, were invited to join in and dance at the end of each class.
One of the teachers was from Kenya and she played music from her country. Joyful, loud, drumming music that asked you to give your whole body to the dance and we all did, joyfully moving about the room. The image that comes to me is not only of dancing bodies but of arms held high and low, of old arms, little arms, tall arms, swaying and flashing around and moving up, down, sideways, making wavelike motions, the exuberance of the moment so palpable. Young and old, we were all united in joy and that to me is the God thing. For a moment in time, we were connected in the holy, to the happiness of being alive and in tune with each other. This is what I see when I look at Pinus sabiniana, dancing branches reaching, dancing arms reaching, all connecting to the universal sacred…

Your musings reminded me of this quote by Pablo Picasso:
God is really only another artist. He invented the giraffe, the elephant, and the cat. He has no real style, He just goes on trying other things.
