looked and looked back for this. I couldn't quite remember what it looked like. Is from March. I don't know what it is i think it shows me, but something. i have less and less Will to find words….wish i could speak in pictures, like pictures would come out of my mouth….like bubbles or something Better yet, little movies.

…because you titled this post, Looking backward, I went back into the archives: The photo from 3/22/23 is in sharper relief, the hammock more pronounced but it is the tile of the post that runs deep, “emblematic #1,#2,#3” and the words that follow, yours, Wendy Golden Levitt, that hold such an important conversation.
It seems so natural to me that now that Minnow has come, looking back is a way to process or reflect, simply, on love. Perhaps that sound strange but what I am trying to say is that you loved Tay, she was and will always be your other half and is always with you,, you chose her. Minnow was given to you, not chosen by you yet your heart has room enough to accept her for what she can be, a new companion, a new guardian of the hill, a new friend- whether she becomes more, only time will tell.
I have found that for me,in order to go forward at times, I do need to look backward, see what made up my life at that time, take in the roads I traveled, the emotions I felt, what I have learned and then open the gate to what lies before us.
