copper pot at B Garden

Having reviewed.  several times.   the findings of the Meter of Desire,     That       Wonder    stands.,  alone.    To    arriving at the question that insists on answer

What NEXT?, then

and finding no answer,   standing there,  no answer,

Wendy *  offers the concept of

The Fertile Void  .

i google

and the first two that come up…..

Jazminerussel.com :    Navigating confusion, lostness and emptiness       "The Fertile void is a concept used first in Gestalt therapy which was created by Fritz and Laura Perls,  to describe a state of not knowing ,  a precursor to something new and generative and perhaps even the state of feeling simultaneously empty and full at the same time".

phoenixterapypractice.co.uk :     "my understanding of the Fertile Void does not eqate to doing nothing.  The notion of the Fertile Void seems to me less concerned with activity versus inactivity and more to do with Purpose and Awareness.   The Fertile Void is the phase of the cycle of Gestalt formation and destruction where there are not   'Figures',    nothing stands  out as being of particular interest and no energy  is being directed to Sensations or Awareness.    So the Fertile Void  is the natural consequence of Withdrawal after Completion.   There is no unfinished or unresolved need that pulls my attention."

“Fertile Void” — Yes!!! I have heard the term FECUND VOID used by by Brianne Swimme to describe the absolute Nothingness from which the Cosmos was born. Just imagine — In that Void existed the potential for all the galaxies, stars, planets, redwoods, giraffes, roses, humans, and more — everything that has been, that is, that will become — released into Being in the Great Flaring Forth! [sometimes called the big bang]
May it be so for us in our own lives….

What a great concept. I’ve been reading about the benefits of keeping still/pausing/stopping – seems related. Give wonder time to arise.

That picture of the copper pot… Golden.. I see the face of a dog looking out.. warm and friendly Golden Retriever.
I read some of the googles you listed, then read one “learn.rumie.org” and liked this: “a fertile void can feel like you want to find a path forward but you are somewhere between giving up what previously motivated you and finding a new motivation”.
