not a good pic.   but there,   Julian at the end.   his 14th birthday down at A.    Jenny is gettig her fingernails painted by Brinley and Emrie.    Julian is experiencing his family.   As Is.    At

first he said he didn't  want any decorations but then said maybe a little.   Alyssia got 2 streamers and balloons and a Taco Pinata.   Of course the cake with candles.   We are who we are.  

they were all loaded up  with stuff to throw into the dumpster on their way out,   all the particles  of the broken Pinata and broken balloons that the Goats can't have  and he came over….where i was sitting   and leaned into me and a

Hug

out of no where.   

so  UN  Julian

and it is enough for a lifetime.   He's 14.   He is who he is.   We honor who we are.

    A most Happy Birthday to Julian! I feel like I haven’t seen him since he was a little boy, so am surprised at this grown looking guy…but not too grown for a hug. I am glad he (all of you) could celebrate in a way that felt good and right for who you are. xo

    Just enough of a celebration to acknowledge dear Julian, this fine looking young man. Like Nancy, I flashed back to his little self when he stayed with you in New Mexico, plunked himself down in the dirt, ready to explore the world. Since you had a pinata, (do we ever outgrow our love of pinatas?) I will say Feliz Cumpleanos Julian, (Spanish for Happy Birthday.) A big 14 yr old young man but in his sweet hug to you, echoes of that little boy.
    Thank you for bringing us to the party to see La Familia; that too is a gift to see all of you.
