more today.   wanting to let the drawing  draw its Self….     What does the drawing want?    What will i come to know?   As i drew today,   just  marks,   i began getting sensory memory….the plants down that long hill to the creek,  at the creek,   all the wild ones,  the weed plants,  i closed my eyes and tried to remember how tall,  what variety,  how many i might know.   Once in the summer my father would mow the hill but otherwise it was as it was.   I remembered the honeysuckle along the little spring stream that flowed into the creek,   the jewelweed that Cookie's dad told us to crush up if we thought we'd gotten into poison ivy.  The blackberry.  and   …..    those tiny wild strawberries.   distinct memories.   and i'm off and on stopping to look at the  child  face.   What is she thinking/feeling?   I don't have words for that yet….need to wait to be told.

Tonight is the first night for this year that i have closed the door.   always so hard to do,  but it's going down to 47.  It's time.  It also rained again…a chill in the air.

Such Lovely memories visualized into words and drawings!!! …. those little wild strawberries! I can taste them! They surrounded our cabin on the lake near Brainerd Mn.
I am back in the desert of Quartzsite.. settling in and feeling Home. The temps are high 80’s and cooling to 60’s at night… would much prefer your 47 degrees for sleeping!

I left my Mr Buddy home 3 years ago…i just turn my van on til the heat warms the sheets then off. A lot of people have started using a diesel heater… i dont know much about them… the fuel tank is mounted outside the vehicle… AJ is looking into it.. I will see him down here in another week or two. He just had a snow storm in Alberta.. but has electric to plug into and has a small electric heater he got at walmart.

there’s a heater in here…it just doesn’t feel very efficient and
also uses up the juice of those big marine batteries outside…that
run the electric ignitions for it and the hot water heater.
During the night i don’t need a heater on. It’s when i get up in
early mornings. just to take off the edge.
I looked online today…there are ones for tent camping, fishing shantys, backpacking. Small. and i also saw a refilable 1 lb propane bottle…can fill it when i get my tanks filled down at Lakeside.
Will wish an easy journey for AJ.
Love to you and the RTR…Quartzite
