this gossamer silk       on some edges and as here,  inside…..felted with wool.    such surprising   satisfyingly deep visual and tactile experience

from Yvette's hand  and heart….many many years ago and being perfect now

i DID begin again today.   and surprised.   When last i sat with the long mala,  it seemed so much.   Today,  not at all.     I think about what has changed.   ..only me.

it had hung on the curtain rod of the big window of that tin house in Polvadera New Mexico,   the one that was the window to the Rim of the world to the West and and today as i held it,  that view was still Inside it,  the view,  the window,   the Rim,  New Mexico still.   Just as it was.   This helps me understand…..Time.

    Jude said years ago….I think you would love windthread…..and yes yes yes.
    I started reading at the point when you moved the goats from Jenny to your place in New Mexico.
    Lots of people were worried if everything went well….yes!

    Ah, Time…. crawling, stumbling, impossibly fleet; linear, circular, spiral… I’ve been very aware recently of the many faces of Time — and am still puzzled. T.S. Eliot says so beautifully:

    Like you Grace time has been very much on my mind .. with no clear understanding of what it really means. So to satisfy my confusion I decided to research it a bit. This scientific definition I like.
    Scientific Definition
    Physicists define time as the progression of events from the past to the present into the future. Basically, if a system is unchanging, it is timeless. Time can be considered to be the fourth dimension of reality, used to describe events in three-dimensional space.
    Reading Yvette’s comment .. realizing how long you’ve known each other .. I came much later to this circle. There’s that word again … time!! My head is starting to spin ….

    Time past is a conglomerate and I am enjoying learning that my past has shaped me into a pretty good person, not perfect, but gives structure towards understanding the direction forward. People, in person or by reading their words are vital to growth.

    I wasn’t sure how Mala beads were used .. I assumed like a rosary but figured that had to be wrong. However after looking it up I decided that really they are used for the same purpose … after all prayers are a form of meditation. Sending you prayerful Blessings Grace. 🙏

    they are…like a rosary
    and once you are steady in their use, become that.
    in the beginning, they are an incrediblly useful TOOL to
    help still the Mind, the wandering….to keep focus on intention

    My thoughts on time right now are not deep or philosophical or metaphorical…they are more centered in the right now, here and now and what can/can’t be done and how many dominoes may fall.
    But, I most certainly can appreciate the remembering the window view and NM life and the fact that you and Yvette have had a special bond for so very long. Something that Time can enrich and hold and honor. Isn’t that wonderful?
